The end of an era

It was announced by J2 and Misha that Supernatural is ending next year, after 15 seasons/327 episodes and the news hit me hard - harder than I expected it to. I've been preparing myself for the end for a while now because it's been on so long but I was still completely unprepared for yesterday's news. The news drove me to tears (shaking too!) and felt stupid about it for a while until I saw others were reacting exactly the same way. I've been watching from the very beginning and this has been my life for fourteen (fifteen when it ends!) years - I'm allowed to be upset about it and mourn the loss of one of my favorite shows.

The show was my first real fandom, too. I read fic for other fandoms in the early, dark days of the Internet (LOL) but this time, I actually got involved and met a lot of my friends through the show. I haven't talked to some of them in years but I still think about and miss them.

As much as it hurts to think about the end of the show, I'm glad the boys will get to spend a lot more time with their families. Excited to see what they do next, although they'll likely want to take a break for a while. Jared does co-own a bar (or two?) while Jensen and Danneel have the brewery + that bed and breakfast they just bought in Austin so that'll likely keep them busy. And Jensen better get the Impala - he's been talking about it for years!

And come at me, upcoming cancellations - nothing you throw at me after this will ever hurt as much as SPN does.

- After they reconcile, Hyde starts becoming more affectionate with Jackie in front of their friends and even surprises her when he tells her he loves her in public
- Their friends trying to fix their relationship "because they belong together"
- Edna and Bud unexpectedly return shortly after Hyde meets WB and Jackie confronts them.
- Jackie's pregnant (either after their break-up during season seven or season eight, to create angst, or post-series after they reconcile). How do they handle it? She thinks he won't want the baby and much angst ensues.

Chuck:

Chuck/Bryce/Sarah

- Bryce surprisingly returns post-series and the three of them struggle with their feelings for each other.
- Maybe season two goes a different way with the triangle?
- Another post-series idea where they're together but a relationship is hard to navigate after Bryce's unexpected resurrection and Sarah's memory issues (most of them are back but not all)

- They're engaged and the fact that he's going to be Casey's son-in-law is freaking everyone out a bit

Skye|Daisy Johnson/Grant Ward

- I just love Ward redemption so post-redemption Skyeward (either set post season 1, 2A, or even 2.19 is fine with me).

Also, fics that deal respectfully with the abuse that Ward suffered at Garrett's hands would be amazing to me (maybe Skye somehow figures it out in season one and tries to help?).

- Speaking of 2.19, I'd love a fic where after the phone call with Coulson, Skye finds Ward crying in his car.

- Post-redemption Ward is on a mission with the team and still determined to prove himself but he collapses unexpectedly - turns out he has a heart problem after Garrett forced Mike to shoot him with the heart-stopper thing on the Bus. This freaks out Skye, who had been content to ignore him up to this point.

- Framework fics. All the Framework fic is fine with me! Maybe we get a glimpse into Skye and Ward's life in the Framework (which is real) after the team leaves a mess in their wake. How does Skye deal with her new powers and the revelation that her boyfriend's SHIELD/part of the Resistance?

Or Framework!Ward (and Trip) come into the real world via the Looking Glass Project, and he and Skye/Daisy end up falling in love. Much angst ensues!

John Garrett & Grant Ward

- Anything where someone (SHIELD? The team? Grant himself?) figures out that Garrett is abusive and does something about it. I'd even be down for a fic where Grant turns on Garrett and kills him in season one.

John Garrett & Skye & Grant Ward

- Skye somehow figures out the truth and wants to kick Garrett's ass herself.
- Garrett wants Ward to kill Skye but he can't do it and turns on his abuser.

Leo Fitz & Jemma Simmons & Skye | Daisy Johnson & Grant Ward

- Fluff of any kind with Team Bus. Maybe season one, post-redemption, or post-Framework when Ward's somehow in the real world with memories intact. There's some awkwardness of course because nothing's quite like it used to be.

- Post redemption or post-Framework works for me. It's an adjustment period to have Ward back on the team and everyone's struggling.

- Maybe Grant and Buddy are found by real SHIELD in the woods and are taken back to civilization before John Garrett can do any more damage than he already has.

- Fluff and/or hurt-comfort post-Framework. Maybe engagement or wedding fics?

Luke/Lorelai - Post-revival. Even though they have a grandchild on the way, Luke and Lorelai decide to go the surrogacy route after all. The road to parenthood (again) isn't easy but they're both excited about the upcoming birth.

- I love all the angst fics that deal with the timeline change.

- Fluff set after they get engaged in the series finale.

- Being able to relax once the situation with her husband is resolved.

Accidentally Soulbonded Enemies - I'm sure some hilarity would ensue if this happens. Setting would be sometime in 2A, please, before he escapes SHIELD.

Accepting A Soulbond To Save The World - Again, the timeframe would be 2A or episodes 2.18 and 2.19. I'm sure there'd be lots of bickering but they have to find a way to work together to help save the world from some threat.

Pregnant From A Soulbond - Magical pregnancy? Dream sex? Who knows? I'm sure there'll be lots of angst because Ward would want to be involved but both are terrified about what this entails.

Soulbond Telepathy - So much angst ensues from this prompt. The timeframe I want for this is early season 1. Ward and Skye suddenly know everything about each other - he knows about her childhood in foster homes and the orphanage; she knows now that he's Hydra and that Garrett kidnapped, abused, and brainwashed him (something he himself is still unaware of). How do they handle all of this?

Soulbond Requires Physical Proximity - Needless to say, they don't want to be in the same room together but they have to be and they're not happy about it (at first)

Or you combine any of these together (although Accidentally Soulbonded Enemies and Accepting A Soulbond To Save The World cancel each other out, so those two are the only ones that wouldn't work together) and see what happens.

To whom it may concern, thank you for reading this and deciding to take on my prompts. Can't wait to see what you come up with! Listed below are my prompts. If you can't find any inspiration from these, that's fine with me and write whatever you want for my pairings.

Chris and Leo

- Anything where Leo figures out Chris’ true identity somehow. If possible, how this changes how things go down in season six would be fun to see.

- After they repair their relationship in season six, Leo discovers his son gets clingy when sick and suffering from a fever but doesn’t really mind at all.

- Chris regains his memories of the first timeline and is shocked to discover that his father completely fell apart after his death. I’d just love to see his reaction to finding out about everything that happened.

Piper/Leo

- I’ll take all kinds of fluff between them. Finding out she’s pregnant for the third time with Melinda (maybe weeks after their reunion in the series finale?) would be nice to see!

- I would also love some angst. I can’t stop thinking about the two of them grieving together for Chris in early season seven.

- I also imagine that Piper would be a bit traumatized after Leo was taken away from her again so they’re dealing with some issues relating to that after the series finale.
